These are some of the photos that I took of Jackson at Rotary Park in Independence, MO on September 5, 2009. As you can tell in many of the photos, Jackson had a blast walking on the trails, smelling the flowers, giving his mother kisses and playing on the slides. I hope that you enjoy!
Melody
Melody is an ICU nurse currently working day shift. In her free time, she enjoys spending all her time with Jackson, Wilson (and Adam). =) Oh yeah, and reading, watching movies, riding bikes, and walking the Katy Trail.
Adam
Adam works for the Trauma Service at the University of Missouri Health System in Columbia. He recently was promoted to Trauma Registrar and Performance Improvement. Adam is also assigned as the Program Coordinator for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), a training program for training physicians and EMS providers on the standardized treatment and/or if there is a need to transfer a patient to a higher level of care facility (like the University Hospital). When Adam is not working he enjoys spending time with Jackson, Wilson and his dogs Chase & Booker; oh and yes – his wife Melody too! Adam also spends a few weekends a month working as a Reserve Deputy at the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department. When Adam has a few moments he enjoys mountain bike riding, his yard & garden.
Jackson
Jackson is making several adjustments as he used to be the Big Man in the house! Jackson is adjusting to his new brother, Wilson, who joined this family on November 9, 2009. The first few days were very difficult for Jackson as he found out he is no longer the spotlight child! After the first few days, Jackson has been able to adjust and is now taking interest in Wilson, his newest bestest friend! Things Jackson loves: playing outside, his doggies- Chase and Booker, giving kisses and hugs, bananas, Daddy's name badge, cars, his key set from Grandpa Kettlewell and straws.
Wilson
Wilson ‘Wil’ Thomas Burks joined our family on November 9, 2009. He has been a wonderful addition to this family. Wilson is full of smiles, farts and poops! Jackson, his older brother, is still adjusting, but I foresee a great brotherhood ahead as Jackson is already very protective of him.
